We use plastic every day, but where does it all go?
The MIT Water Summit is a two-day conference hosted annually by MIT Water Club. The purpose of the event is to bring together leaders from academia, government, nonprofits, NGOs and industry to discuss the greatest challenges and opportunities in the water sector. We invite speakers to give talks and serve on panels, providing a diverse range of perspectives and insights. This year's theme is “Drowning in Plastic”, and it aims to explore the many ways in which plastics have become intertwined with our water environment, the challenges created by plastic pollution, and potential solutions to tackle emerging challenges. The Summit will be held on Thursday, November 21 and Friday, November 22, 2019 on the MIT campus.
