The MTL Annual Research Conference, (MARC) is a student-led conference showcasing the research on microsystems and nanotechnology going on at MIT. It is also a unique venue to network with MIT colleagues and with representatives of the companies that belong to the Microsystems Industrial Group. This year, MARC is held at the Omni Mt. Washington Resort, which means that there will be an opportunity for you to participate in winter activities including skiing, snowboarding, skating, snowshoeing, or tubing!
The ski/snowboard lift tickets and rentals must be purchased on this site in order for you to get the discount rate ($22 for lift tickets, $29 for rentals – includes skis/snowboard, boots, and poles). Helmets are also available for $15. Lessons and other activities can be purchased at the resort. There is a 1.5-hour long group lesson starting at 1pm available for $45, and a 1-hour long private lesson starting at 12pm available for $129.
If you are a beginner, there may no need to purchase a lift ticket as you will have free access to the bunny hill, as well as one lift that takes you up a slightly taller training hill. You can still choose to purchase a lift ticket if you want to try some of the more advanced hills. If you decide to purchase a lift ticket there (instead of on this site), the price will be $65 rather than $22.
You must take the early bus on January 29, 2018 if you plan on participating in winter activities. Lift and rental tickets will be distributed on the bus. You can also arrange your own transportation to arrive at MARC early, in which case you can pick up your tickets in advance.
Ticket sales have been extended to January 12, 2018.
Note: There is 5% service fee.
